We're proud to announce She Leads, our new event series with a mission to advance gender equality in the workplace by supporting women at any level to break through their own glass ceiling.

 


Meet Tina Brown

Founder, Women in the World & Author, The Vanity Fair Diaries

Tina Brown is an award-winning journalist, editor, author, and founder of the Women in the World summits. Between 1979 and 2001, she was editor-in-chief of Tatler, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and authored the 2007 best-selling biography of the Princess of Wales, The Diana Chronicles. In 2000, she was awarded the honor of Commander of the Order of the British Empire by the Queen for her services to journalism. In 2007 she was inducted into the Magazine Editors' Hall of Fame.


In October 2008 Brown launched and edited the digital news site The Daily Beast, which won the news website of the year award in 2012 and 2013. She launched Tina Brown Live Media in 2014 to expand Women in the World internationally with summits in London and Delhi and with smaller salons throughout the United States. Last year, she published The Vanity Fair Diaries which was chosen as one of the best books of 2017 by Time, People, Amazon, The Guardian, The Economist, Entertainment Weekly, & Vogue.


Tina Brown is married to editor, publisher, and historian Sir Harold Evans and lives in New York City.

Linzie Janis is an ABC News correspondent based in New York. She reports for all programs and platforms, including "Good Morning America," "World News Tonight with David Muir," "Nightline" and "20/20."


Janis is an award winning reporter and has covered a wide range of stories from the deadly Northern California fires to the Pulse nightclub shooting, which earned her an Emmy award for her breaking news coverage. She was one of the first American journalists to survey the destruction in the U.S. Virgin Islands during Hurricane Irma, she covered the return of American college student Otto Warmbier from North Korea, she was the first television journalist to sit down with Hulk Hogan after his legal victory over Gawker Media, she reported on the sinking of the El Faro cargo ship, covered the two escaped convicts from a maximum security prison in New York, and in 2013 she broke news about the New York AG’s lawsuit against Trump University, interviewing alleged victims of fraud and Donald Trump. Janis has also reported on a number of social issues, from allegations of sexual assault on college campuses to distracted driving.


Her work has taken her overseas, covering important international stories for ABC News including First Daughter Ivanka Trump’s trip to Berlin for the W20 summit, the missing Argentine submarine and crew, the terror attack in Nice, France, the devastating 2016 earthquake in Ecuador, the Pope in Rome and the excitement surrounding the birth of the second Royal baby in London.


Before joining ABC News, Janis anchored a daily business news broadcast on Bloomberg Television live from London, beginning coverage of the financial markets and global economy within weeks of the collapse of Lehman Brothers. She began her career at CNN International where she was a producer and reporter. Janis graduated with a degree in journalism from The University of the Arts London in London, England. A native of Schaumburg, Illinois, Janis lives with her husband in New York City.

Henckels and a huge variety of advertising agencies. Recently she had another great idea and founded Lucky Brands GmbH with three partners.

After being a beauty and fashion editor at ELLE magazine and Zalando, Janine has been 

developing the regional brand marketing strategy to make Vestiaire Collective Europe's number one online market for luxury second hand fashion.

Illustrator and Graphic Designer


With a degree in Art and Design, Iris started her career in advertising agencies and high class fashion magazines such as ELLE and GLAMOUR as a graphic designer. At the same time she has started illustrating for international clients like ELLE, VOGUE, Estée Lauder, L´Oréal, Charlotte Olympia, Krigler, Westwing. In 2016 she published her first book „My Lifestyle Diary“ (prestel) and now she is building up her illustration stationery company and onlineshop „Fleur d´Iris“.

Nadja Ali is a communication design graduate who has been working as an allround freelancer within the fashion, lifestyle and design industry while founding her own fashion and travel blog „Attitude“. She has worked with several exclusive brands, has been featured in Vogue, Grazia, etc. and built a strong network within the industry.
In 2017 she co-founded the KOAconference with her business partner Tamara Schenk. Their mission is to encourage, motivate and empower women to achieve the utmost success in their career by providing a platform for them to access the skills, expertise and connections they need. Their first KOAconference took place at the Hotel de Rome in Berlin with 16 inspiring speakers and 21 successful companies including Deutsche Telekom, Flixbus, Continental, Phillips, Shazam and many more.
Their goal is to ease the hiring and recruitment process for women and to establish a strong community of mentors, companies and talents.
